Looking Back
Jasonville was named in 1855 by Jason Rogers who was an owner of a general store. Legend has it that Billy Buckallo wrote "Jasonville" on the side of Roger's general store with a tar-covered paddle.
Rogers recorded Jasonville as a town in 1909. In 1912, it was named a city.
